*when you're d from the w down. 2002-06-13 2:18 a.m.*

so, do you love me? and can you drive? and are you in sarasota for the summer? and do you want to see dar on sunday the 23rd at the players theatre? and do you know if the tickets are really and truly actually on sale?

in other news, i had many nightmares last night. the only one i could really remember when i woke up involved some weird murder mystery kind of situation involving all the hippies i knew before coming to new college-- high school people, parents' friends, that kind of thing. it's scary when you dream about your parents' friends plotting to kill each other and cutting off your phone line.

at work today, the server went down for 3 hours. which cut most people's work day down to 2 hours, but not me. 5 hours. which is the normal shift length. which made it seem super extra long. not only did i have to sit in a workshop for 3 hours (it wasn't a bad workshop, it just made me antsy), i then had to stay on the phones for another 4 hours. it was just rough watching the clock and knowing that even though i'd been sitting off the phones for forever, there was still half my shift left to deal with. and i think those were my longest 4 hours there. yesterday i talked to an ass who said that his last name was crotch and that his race was "hot and brown like poo," and none of tonight's people were as bad... but i did talk to a guy who thought that my question about what internet sites he reads was awfully personal (i'd said something like, "now, i'm going to read a short list of internet websites. please answer yes or no. which of the following internet websites have you..." and he cut me off and told me it was too personal. they weren't going to be porn sites or anything, they were just newspaper, radio station, and tv station websites.), and then refused to give me his address. to top things off, when i asked to verify the phone number it was wrong, so he thought we were just trying to get his real number out of me so that we could stalk him. grar! then, because a lot of people go home, and we get put in some pretty boring numbers for awhile, a group of us chats. and the supervisor came up to us and was like, "some people here get pleasure from telling the managers what goes on here, and it's not me, because i don't care what you do as long as you're dialling, but i just thought i'd tell you that you should probably keep your chatting to a minimum, because i don't want you guys to get in trouble, and i don't want to get in trouble, myself." oh, and did i tell you i got an attendance notice. beh. so did john though, and he's apparently missed more than me, so...

in other more positive news, i'm listening to a lot of catatonia. thank goodness for getting those songs burned. and there's the dar thing. otherwise, life's pretty dull around here.
