the u2/babybird kick has not subsided. i got a mix tape in the mail the other day, and i listened to half of it before being drawn back into it. just too suitable for my mood right now.

oh, god, you guys, i'm so unbelievably full of the pea stuff from the indian buffet. i had some of the fried veggies and yogurt sauce, but mainly i just had pea stuff and naan pea stuff and naan oh god sooo much, but sooo good!

right now, i'm superobsessed with whatsbetter.com. they show you 2 items and you pick the better of the 2. sometimes it's really hard, like malaria/kkk or angelina jolie/ewoks or mr. t/ramen, but i enjoy the challenge, and if it's too hard, i can always refresh.

"and all the promises we made from the cradle to the grave when all i want is you." this is an amazing emotionally draining song for me. the first time i ever saw the music video, i just sobbed, and i wasn't sure why, and i'm still not sure if the song is good or if it just hits me in the right way, but i love it. it's not the words so much as the music itself, and the wailing and the violins and yeah... i can't write about music.

my kitten just jumped on my lap. she's been very aloof and pissy lately, so this is nice. apparently, all she wants is me right now.

anyway, so today is my one month anniversary for this journal. i feel like i should have some celebratory entry, but my 500th entry is also coming up soon, and maybe i will just celebrate then. i think it's kind of frightening that i've written basically an average of 1 1/2 entries for the past year. but maybe later i will talk about how cool it is to have been writing here for a year, or something.

but until then, guys, i will ponder which is better, phil collins or fish and chips?
