*happy birthday! 2002-04-30 11:40 a.m.*

it's my jennifer connelly's birthday today, and i love her, and she's already read this but i'm posting it anyway.

yes, she's that cool.

i want to tell you how beautiful she is, but you�d have to see her and know her to understand, i think. i�m no longer crushing on her in that way that i do, but she fills myheart up with so much love when i see her. i don�t know how to explain it without sounding like i�m completely enamoured and delusional, but i really think she is one of the most amazing people in the world.

when i think of her, the word �womanly� comes up first, but i think that�s one of those words that i have my own very specific definition for, and it may be one of those things where the two things feed off of each other, where the more i know of her, the more my definition of �womanly� shifts itself to fit her.

she�s strong and beautiful in that way that women are strong and beautiful. she�s like my own personal archetype of womanhood, and maybe that�s a lot to live up to, and she�ll read this and it will scare her, but it�s true. i don�t identify as fitting into the woman archetype as myself, feeling more genderless and also young, but she fits it without seeming either trapped or old.

she�s strong and beautiful and a fabulous writer and she�s got wonderful punk rock/princess clothing style and she�s got a wonderful smile and in photos when she�s hugging people it looks like she loves them more than anything in the world and she listens

to me bitch about anything, which very few other people will put up with, and i never have to bitch about her, which is even rarer, and she lets me rest my head on her shoulder when life becomes very hard and when she dances she looks like she�s the one in charge of the

world and when she sings her voice sounds like it�s the voice of all the women who�ve suffered and laughed throughout the ages and i just want the best in the world for her.
