this is what days at home are supposed to be like. reading a book on unitarianism on the couch, with mom in her chair reading a book on plants, listening to that song about boxes made of ticky-tacky. singing along when "will the circle be unbroken?" comes on. spinning around to "galileo" while my kitten chases my skirt. thank you sony's soul gospel and blues songs of the century cd for these moments.

and later we shall go to the beach.
